Do Personal Trainers need a website?

by PT Business Success

If you are anything like most personal trainers you are lucky that you know how to open your emails. Or you may be one of the gifted few who has learned how to put your own group together on Facebook. So like many trainers you maybe haven’t even considered getting a website or just put it in the too hard basket.

So the question is, “do you need a website ?” . Well here is what you need to consider…

1. What would you think of a trainer who has their own website?

2. What would you think of them if their website was a great source of information?

3. How would you compare someone who has a cool email address that is @theirbusiness.com versus a gmail address, or yahoo or worse sexy5213@hotmail.com?

There are only 3 reasons you would need a website, if you think they are worth it you may need to start researching getting one. ( they aren’t as expensive as you think, less than $800 total )

1. You want to create a professional image and would like to stand out from the crowd rather than look like another backyard trainer who might not be around in 12 months

2. You would like to position yourself as the expert in your area. You want people to turn to you for advice and information and tell their friends and family to ask you first.

3. When your target market goes online to look for information about you before they make a decision about who to put their health in the hands of. The last time you had to buy something major, did you go online to check it out?

If you have decided you want to do it, get some advice from someone who has done it before. And then learn how to promote it.
